Material: a metal

Dimensions:  1 inch tall

Year: 18th century

Location discovered: Original display case of the Old Stone House Museum

Fragments of a typical buckle a Dutch settler might have worn.  This buckle was housed in an old display case in the original exhibit of the Old Stone House Museum and most likely was donated by a former board member. Although the pieces are not original to the Old Stone House, these are typical objects you would have found in a Dutch house in the 18th Century.
